Apple Music to YouTube Music — FAQ
Do I need an Apple Music subscription?
Yes. Reading the playlists in your Apple Music library requires an active Apple Music subscription — a free Apple ID on its own isn't enough. Once your playlists are on YouTube Music, you can cancel Apple Music whenever you like.
Do I need YouTube Music Premium?
No. Paradify creates the playlists on your YouTube account, and they show up in YouTube Music on the free tier too. Premium only changes how you listen — no ads, background play and downloads.
Do I need a YouTube channel?
Yes — YouTube only lets accounts with a channel create playlists. If your Google account doesn't have one yet, Paradify will tell you; creating one takes about 30 seconds at youtube.com/create_channel.
Will my Apple Music playlists be changed or deleted?
No. Paradify only reads the playlists you select and never edits or deletes anything on Apple Music. Both connections use official sign-in screens, so Paradify never sees your Apple or Google password, and you can revoke access any time.
How does the matching work?
For each song, Paradify searches YouTube's Music category for the title and artists and adds the top result. YouTube can't be searched by ISRC, so matching goes by name — which works well for most libraries. Songs without a match are listed in the report.
Where do the transferred playlists end up?
They're created as private playlists on your YouTube account and appear in the Library tab of YouTube Music on all your devices. You can make them public or share them from YouTube Music.
What happens to songs that can't be matched?
After every transfer you get a report listing which songs were added and which weren't, so you can find the missing ones yourself. A song usually drops out when it isn't on YouTube at all, or is only available in other countries.
Can I transfer Made For You mixes or radio stations?
No. Mixes, Made For You and radio stations are generated by Apple and aren't available to any transfer tool. If you want a snapshot, copy the songs into a regular Apple Music playlist first, then transfer that.
How long does a transfer take?
A 50-song playlist usually finishes in a few minutes. Large libraries take longer — you can queue several playlists and come back when they're done.
Do I need to download anything or use an MP3 converter?
